Justin Bieber: Labelled as the next big thing to Michael Jackson
Justin Bieber, the Canadian pop singer,
actor and songwriter, is the youngest teen sensation that has emerged
as a big star in the last four years. An ordinary boy in 2009, Bieber
today seems to have it all. He has the best cars, lavish mansions and
visits the most expensive places in the world for vacation.
Bieber was born on March 1, 1994 in
Ontario, Canada, to Patricia Mallette and Jeremy Bieber. His mother was
17 years old when she got pregnant. Bieber’s parents were never married,
but they maintained a close relationship. So, Patricia raised Bieber
with the help of her mother, Diane, and stepfather, Bruce.
Bieber was discovered in 2008 by
American talent manager, Scooter Braun, who mistakenly came across
Bieber’s video on Youtube. Braun arranged for Bieber to meet with
entertainer, Usher Raymond, and from then onward, things looked up for
the teenager.
His debut album was released in 2009
and was certified platinum in the United States. Bieber became the first
artiste to have seven songs from a debut record hit the Billboard Hot
100.
His rise to fame has been one of the
most abrupt success stories ever told in the music industry and he has
since built incredible name and fortune of about $130m, in just three
years. The singing sensation, who was discovered on Youtube, is now
honoured as the most successful child star since Michael Jackson. His
fans who claim to have caught the ‘Bieber Fever’ are now referred to as
‘beliebers’.
He once had a much talked about
relationship with another singing sensation, Selena Gomez, which went on
for about two years, before the two parted ways.
Bieber is the most popular celebrity on
Twitter with almost 45 million followers. His account acquires a new
follower every two seconds. Actually, his popularity on Twitter at one
point accounted for three per cent of all Twitter-related traffic.
Strangely, Bieber’s name was also said to have been googled more than
‘God’, and was next only to ‘porn’.
But there is no denying that Bieber’s
fame has also brought him wealth. Last year, he bought a lavish mansion
worth $10.8m in a posh locality of Los Angeles on his 18th birthday.
The house is built in three storeys and
boasts of five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The property comes with an
exclusively designed gourmet kitchen, bar area, private theatre,
personal gymnasium, massage room and a stunning pool. In addition, the
house has a view of a lake that can clearly be seen from its glass
walls.
Bieber also owns a luxury condo in New
York, spread on an area of 2,400 square foot and boasting of three
bedrooms and four bathrooms. But that’s not all, Bieber recently bought a
1.28-acre Hacienda-style home in California. The estate once belonged
to actor, Eddie Murphy’s wife, Nicole, and was listed in the market for
$6m.
The house includes six bedrooms, seven
exotic bathrooms, a well-equipped spacious kitchen, a large living room
and two separate garages. Also, the house has an elevator, a gorgeous
pool and a spa.
When it comes to cars, the teen
sensation owns some of the most luxurious models that money can buy.
Bieber is often spotted in his Porsche 997 Turbo, but the fast car is
just one out of his impressive collection.
The pop singer also has a stylish
Ferrari F430 that he bought when he was just 16 years old. Bieber has a
Lamborghini Gallardo that was given to him by American rapper and record
producer, P. Diddy, which was said to have cost more than $200,000.
P.Diddy promised to give Bieber the keys to the car when he turned 16
and he did. The Lamborghini is said to be one of Bieber favourite cars.
His Lamborghini is powered by 5.0-litre V10 engine.
Recently, the Canadian singer spent
over $160,000 on a customised Range Rover Evoque. The SUV is fitted with
a sound system worth over $80,000 and the interior of the vehicle was
designed by Bieber himself. He also prides himself in owning other
expensive cars like the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, Fisker Karma and a Ferrari
458.
Although, Bieber did not have a valid
license for driving motorcycles, yet he bought a Ducati on the
recommendation of his buddy and mentor, Usher.
